Rajampet TDP MLA Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy and government whip was nearly in tears for being insulted by the officials during the Sree Rama Navami celebrations at the Vontimitta Kodandaram’s kalyana mahotsavam.
Meda said that his family members and his followers were not given due respect during the celebrations.
He said that he was no longer a MLA and added that he would return his official government vehicle and gunmen to the government and resign from his post. He will also not attend any government functions henceforth he said.
At times such incidents happen and usually the CM calls the MLA back and pacifies them. However it is not clear as yet if Meda has indeed resigned or if he is just putting across his resignation to threaten his higher ups.
