If the reports from Telugu Desam Party are to be believed, party general secretary Nara Lokesh is most likely to be promoted as the working president of the party sooner or later.
According to party sources, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is feeling overburdened with the administrative work with one meeting after the other every day, as a result of which he is not able to focus on the party activities. This has resulted in infighting in the party in several districts, especially between those who defected to the party in the recent times and those who have been loyal for several years.
That is the reason why Naidu asked his son Lokesh to spend more time in Vijaywada and focus on party work. Apparently, he is very much satisfied with the initiative taken by Lokesh in interacting with seniors and bringing about coordination among them.
Sources said Naidu wants to promote Lokesh as the working president of the party by next Mahanadu and entrust to him the task of giving a new direction to the party. And Naidu would concentrate on completing the pending projects, say party sources.
