It is quite common that photographs or portraits of national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru adorn the walls of any minister in his chambers. Of course, the photograph of chief minister is also a must since he is the head of the government.
But how would it be, if the minister keeps the photograph of the chief minister’s son as well?
Well, that is what has happened in the Andhra Pradesh government. Now a days, photographs of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh are also adorning the walls of the ministers in the Chandrababu Naidu government.
A photograph of Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K Narayana having the portrait of Lokesh alongside the pictures of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and NTR on the wall of his chamber is doing rounds in the social media now and it has evoked a lot of criticism.
“This is nothing but height of sycophancy. Lokesh is just three or four years old in politics. He has just become an MLC. Though he has been the TDP general secretary for quite some time, he has no other exceptional qualification except for being the son of the chief minister. And it is no qualification for his photo adorning the wall of the minister’s chambers,” an analyst observed.
