Lokesh On A Mission Of Rapprochement

After deciding to play an active role in the party politics, the Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh has now embarked on another mission to patch up differences between the Nandamuri family members.

The friction with the Nandamuri family has affected the image of the party at a time when it is desperate to come to power in the 2014 elections.

Lokesh has taken upon himself the task of bringing together the estranged brothers Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nandamuri Harikrishna and make them sink their differences and work unitedly as a one harmonious family unit for the success of the TDP in the next elections.

It is said that he has the blessings of his father for his mission to build bridges between the brothers.

The young leader reportedly met Harikrishna recently and had detailed discussions about the irritants plaguing the family for some time now.

Of late, Harikrishna is keeping himself away from the party affairs after quitting his Rajya Sabha seat in support of the Samaikyandhra cause.

The maverick leader was believed to have shared his sense of anguish and betrayal with Lokesh.

On his part, Lokesh has urged him to forget the past and work for the success of the party.

In the next step, Lokesh is expected to meet his father-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna and convince him for a compromise with his elder brother.

The TDP circles hope that Lokesh's mission will be successful and will pave the way for the entire family to campaign in the coming elections.

It remains to be seen how the Nara and Nandamuri families sort out their differences on the issue of successor to Chandrababu Naidu.

While Harikrishna wants his son, Junior NTR to take over the mantle from Naidu, the TDP chief is grooming Lokesh for the post.
