According to the ruling TDP's version, it was estimated that Rs 14,000 crores would be required for loan waivers. But eventually, only Rs 5000 crores were allocated to the farmers’ empowerment corporation.
Questioning the same, YSRCP ex minister K Parthasarathy wondered what happened to the rest of Rs 9000 crores.
He said that while the TDP members are constantly countering YS Jagan Mohan Reddy when he tries to get the expenditure details, it is pretty obvious that the TDP ministers have been trying to divert the attention of people by resorting to various gimmicks.
If the TDP ministers felt that Rs 2000 crores would be sufficient to waiver loans less than Rs 50,000, then they must say so publicly, said Parthasarathy.
The ex minister also asked if the TDP leaders were scared of revealing the revenue details as it would clearly show that huge funds have been misused.
While Narendra Modi has issued directives that all government details must be put up on internet, why TDP was trying to keep its expenditure a secret, asked Parthasarathy.
In the past, when Polavaram canals were dug during late YSR’s term, TDP had raised hue and cry. But now, the same party was using the canals to divert water pointed out Parthasarathy.
