YSR Congress Party MLAs on Tuesday criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for failing to announce a date on crop loan waiver and other promises in the House.
Talking to the media at AP Assembly Media Point here after the five-day session, YSRCP MLAs K Sridhar Reddy, Roja, Visweshwar Reddy and Ijaiah alleged that Naidu was misleading the people on his poll promises.
TDP Chief, who promised everything before the elections, was not giving clarity on the issues relating to 9 hours power supply to farmers, crop loan waiver, students, employees and others. Being the ruling party, the TDP was indulging in beating its own drums rather than addressing the problems of people.
Kotaiah Committee constituted by Naidu is only an “eye-wash” and to pass time as it will not make any apt steps with regard to crop loan waiver. They also expressed concern over notices being issued to farmers on repayment of loans already obtained. The Chief Minister should immediately announce an action plan on crop loan waiver, they demanded.
“If Naidu has any commitment to his Manifesto promises, he must fulfill them or make an announcement in the House” they said.
They also ridiculed Naidu for his failure to ensure waiver of crop loans. Many farmers in the region, after bifurcation of the State, have pinned hopes on the TDP regime that it will come to their rescue. But after taking over the reins Naidu ignored their plight. They also took serious exception to Naidu for promising moon and keeping none.
