The Group of Ministers, which had its final meeting on Tuesday afternoon to finalise the Telangana bill, is meeting again on Wednesday night to make last minute changes in the bill to placate the Seemandhra people.
According to reports from New Delhi, the GoM would consider inclusion of some more amendments suggested by Seemandhra MPs during the war room meeting last night.
The GoM would discuss the same with the Seemandhra Union ministers who would be attending the GoM meeting.
Some of the suggestions likely to be incorporated in the bill are: Centre should bear the entire expenditure for development of new capital for Seemandhra; Centre should make annual grants to Andhra to offset the revenue loss caused to it on account of bifurcation; tax holiday for industries to be set up in Seemandhra and setting up higher education centres including Central University, IIT, IIM and Medical Colleges in Seemandhra as well. The Centre is most likely to accept the amendments.
