Guntur: Majority of the villagers from the 17 villages in the capital region are now up in arms against the very Party they had worked for during the elections.
These villagers had actively canvassed for the TDP during the recent elections only to find out that post the formation of the TDP government, their lands are now being taken away in the name of ‘land pooling’.
These people have decided to oppose the government tooth and nail and protect their lands at any cost. This could also influence the ‘membership drive’ programme initiated by the TDP.
Once considered as bastions of the TDP, these villages are now contemplating joining hands with any opposition Party that would stand up for their rights.
