Land Pooling For AP Capital From Today!

Land acquisition for building and developing a new capital for Andhra Pradesh State would commence from Tuesday.

Announcing land acquisition scheme here on Monday, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said, “It was unfortunate that the State has no capital city. But at the same time, it gives happiness in constructing a new capital city and it should be developed in a festive mood”.

Land acquisition would begin in Guntur and Vijayawada, Naidu said, adding that new capital city would have  three different corridors --- Inner ring road of 75 km, 125 km of middle ring and about 200  km of outer ring road.

The Chief Minister said the government has prepared a land acquisition package after studying and visiting other States.

Naidu said, "The utmost responsibility of the AP government is to protect the interests of the farmers, who are coming forward to give their land for new capital. As per the package, Rs 50,000 per acre would be paid to farmers, who has lemon, guava and sapota crops."    

The government would provide land for their residential and business purposes for whose lands would be taken under the package, he said.

It was a compensation package depending on the type of agriculture farming in the land of the farmers who will give their land.
