After conducting a detailed land survey of Tammidi Kunta in Madhapur, both the revenue department and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) have come to the conclusion that about three acres of the lake land have been encroached upon by N Convention Centre owned by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna.
Both revenue and municipal corporation officials are planning to serve notices on the N Convention on charges of land encroachment.
“If the Convention management decides to hand over the encroached land to the state government, there would be no further action against the management. But, if it does not do so, a land grabbing case would be filed against the actor and the unauthorised structure would be demolished,” a senior official of GHMC said.
Actor Nagarjuna earlier claimed that a case of land grabbing was filed in Lokayukta a few years ago and following that, the revenue department had conducted a survey and found no encroachment in the lake following which the case was closed.
