Reliable sources have informed GreatAndhra.com that she has got confirmation in this regard from the central leadership of BJP. The party is planning to field her in a crucial constituency in Andhra Pradesh.
BJP is trying to rope in some top movie celebrities in the next elections in both AP and Telangana and it has already begun consultations with some of the stars. Manchu Lakshmi is one of them. She also has been trying to enter into politics.
It is no secret that actress-producer Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna has political ambitions as her family is closely linked with several politicians.
Her father Mohan Babu had earlier dabbled in AP politics and her sister-in-law is close relative of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, opposition leader in Andhra assembly.
Moreover, Manchu Lakshmi is one of the few celebrities who lent support to Narendra Modi prior to Loksabha polls in 2014.
She may now have to decide about the constituency and begin groundwork for it.
