The yesteryear angry young man of Telugu cinema and former Union Minister Krishnam Raju has met BJP president Rajnath Singh on Monday, triggering speculation that he is set to rejoin the saffron party.
When media persons asked him about the meeting, he said that he met the BJP chief as a courtesy call.
Krishnam Raju was a member of BJP for a long time and was elected to Lok Sabha from Narsapur.
He had served as Minister in the NDA government led by AB Vajpayee.
Later on, he joined Praja Rajyam Party floated by Chiranjeevi. However, he has been maintaining a low profile and staying away from politics for some time now.
Ever since losing the election from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha constituency in 2009, he has been keeping himself away from active politics.
It is said that actor-producer is now planning to rejoin BJP in view of the nationwide goodwill generated for its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
