Koppula upset with KCR denying Cabinet berth

The Cabinet expansion has become a 'headache' of sorts for Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as his close aide and Mala community leader Koppula Eshwar expressing discontent on denial of cabinet berth.

The TRS leadership caught in a tizzy as an MPTC Venkanna at Velgaturu in Karimnagar district made a vain bid to immolate himself by dousing kerosene for denial of ministerial berth to Eshwar.

Noted for smooth talk, honest and uncontroversial, Eshwar is a confidant of KCR but was denied the expected post for second time which led to heart burning among his followers.

As the situation seems to be going out of gear with the protests by Eshwar’s followers at Karimnagar who staged rasta rokos, the Chief Minister called up the former and tried to convince him.

Later, Eshwar hurriedly left Karimnagar for Hyderabad after the Chief Minister’s call. Eshwar was denied a berth in the Cabinet when TRS formed the government and for second time now.

Earlier, it is said, the TRS leadership planned to offer Speaker’s post to Eshwar if not deputy Chief Minister being a Mala.

Several times KTR had announced in Karimnagar public meetings that Eshwar will become a minister and KCR too promised him one.

Objections being cropped up over the TRS for planning to offer berths to Tummala Nageswara Rao (Khammam), Jupally Krishna Rao, Lakshma Reddy (MBNR) as senior leaders were set aside by the party leadership.
