After being forced into political wilderness for some time, the Konda couple from Warangal district-- Konda Surekha and her husband Konda Murali-- are now back in the news.
They have now started playing an active role in the Telangana politics.
After a bitter fallout with the YSR Congress Party, the duo had recently returned to the Congress fold.
The party leadership has entrusted them the task of organizing the victory rally in Warangal on November 9.
These rallies are part of an aggressive campaign by the Telangana Congress leaders to thank the party President Sonia Gandhi for fulfilling the long-pending demand for separate state and also claim the sole credit for granting statehood.
The Konda couple is busy making arrangements for the meeting.
They are also said to be trying to get the AICC General Secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh Digvijay Singh attend the event.
A massive effort is on to mobilize the crowds from Parakala and other constituencies in the district. They are desperately trying to regain the hold on the district politics and the November 9 meeting provides a good opportunity for them to prove their mettle.
