Former firebrand minister Konda Surekha and her aggressive husband Konda Murali are now facing “na ghar ka, na ghat ka” situation.
After getting back to the Congress party by deserting the YSR Congress party a few months back, the couple are virtually facing identity crisis.
While the Jagan party has more or less been wiped out in their constituency Parkal, the Konda couple are facing hostility from within the Congress party in the constituency as they rubbed the party on wrong shoulder while they were in YSRCP.
The local Congress leaders are strongly opposing the Congress party ticket to Surekha because of her attitude in the past.
Recently, Surekha and Murali tried to get into the Telugu Desam Party and indirectly approached Chandrababu Naidu.
Though the TDP chief was willing to accommodate the couple, he had to succumb to pressures from local leaders and also from their arch rival Errabelli Dayakar Rao. Now, Naidu was forced to shut the doors for the couple forever.
They cannot go to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi as well because they can’t get the ticket there. So, they are virtually at crossroads!
