Is Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, former Minister and key TDP functonary going to contest from Sattenapalli in the coming elections? That was the impression he conveyed when he spoke at a Party meeting in Narsaraopeta.
Even though his followers have strongly expressed their desire that he contest from Narasaraopeta, Dr.Sivaprasad hasn’t given them any assurance. On the contrary, he asked his cadre to extend their support in the same fashion to whoever contests on the TDP ticket from Narasaraopeta.
For the record, Sivaprasad has contested and won five tmes from Narasaraopeta, but he has lost the last two elections.
Concerned over poll surveys which predicted a defeat for him again, the TDP leadership is keen on feldng him from Sattenapalli. Nevertheless, it s quite a headache for the candidate and his Party to abandon his home consituency.
Another interestng thng is that should Kodela contest from Sattanapalli, he would have to take on Ambati Rambabu of the YSRCP. This should be one hell of a fight.
