Kodanda Forms Political Party, To Contest Alone!

Kodanda Forms Political Party, To Contest Alone!

After much dilly dallying, Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman and retired Osmania University professor M Kodandaram on Monday announced the launch of a new political party in the state.

Named as “Telangana Jana Samithi,” the new political outfit of Kodandaram is going to be a full-fledged political party that would contest the elections in 2019 on its own.

“I was compelled to launch the political party only because the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi has miserably failed to fulfil the aspirations of the people after achieving the new state following a long-drawn battle,” he said.

Kodandaram said the party flag and constitution would be announced on April 4. After forming the party state and district committees, he said he would hold a big public meeting on April 29 in Hyderabad.

The new party will fight against the TRS government's anti-people policies and also expose Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's misdeeds ahead of 2019 elections. “We shall go alone in the elections and not have any tie up with any other political party,” he said.

The JAC leaders already requested police to grant permission to hold the public meeting either at Parade grounds, LB Stadium or NTR Stadium in Hyderabad. Kodandaram would announce his party's objectives and ideology in the meeting.

It is learnt that the party flag will have White, Blue and Yellow colours. The symbols reflecting farmers and workers community and Telangana martyrs will be added in the flag.
