Kiran Would Abide By Sonia Decision!

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday admitted that he had earlier promised to abide by the decision of the party high command on Telangana statehood issue.

Intervening during a debate in the Assembly on the Telangana bill, Kiran said he had indeed sadi that he would abide by party president Sonia Gandhi’s decision on State bifurcation.

“However, I am opposed to the decision now only because the entire process has been irrational. I am only acting as per the sentiments of the Seemandhra people after the Centre’s decision on the issue,” he clarified.

Reiterating that he was a staunch supporter of united Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister said he would explain losses to be faced by the Telangana region after bifurcation of the State.

He said people of the three regions have different opinions on bifurcation of the State. The people were not in a mood to hear the political parties on the issue, he maintained.
