Kiran won't be allowed to tour Telangana

Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, who was hitherto considered to be the most trusted loyalists of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, has now turned his bitter critic for opposing the Telangana formation.

Gandra took strong objection to the Chief Minister’s plan to tour Telangana districts as part of Rachabanda programme.

Stating that the Chief Minister was not supreme, Gandra said the Telangana Congress leaders would not allow Kiran to tour the region for the Rachchabanda programme.

“Kiran would have to face the wrath of the people if he dares to enter Telangana,” he said.

However, government whip and Sangareddy MLA Toorpu Jayaprakash said the Chief Minister had not cancelled Rachchabanda program due to any fear from anybody.

“The Chief Minister has not cancelled his program due to fear of TRS or JAC of Telangana. Rachabanda program was postponed following a request by the ministers as a public meeting was organized in Adilabad to express thanks to the party and Sonia Gandhi for giving Telangana state”, he said, adding that the district would have got Rs 200 crores had the Chief Minister visited the district today.

He also said he would organize a meeting at Sangareddy shortly which will be attended by the Chief Minister.
