Kiran, too, to quit politics?

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, too, would quit politics if Andhra Pradesh gets bifurcated, if one were go by Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal.

Lagadapati told media on Sunday that he was committed to quitting politics after bifurcation. 

Similarly, several senior leaders including the Chief Minister would also quit politics if the State gets divided. 

He demanded that the opinion of majority people should be respected in a democracy. 

However, he said that the Centre was not doing the same in case of Telangana formation.

Lagadapati also claimed that 95 per cent legislators would oppose the Telangana Bill if it was put to voting in the State Legislative Assembly. 

He said only five members were in favour of State's division while all others were opposing it, overtly or covertly. 

He also praised the Samaikhyandhra campaign launched by different groups including the APNGOs.
