With the Telangana statehood issue reaching its climax, the Congress high command called for a meeting of Seemandhra MPs and ministers, besides Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, at the party’s war room in New Delhi on Tuesday to see that there are no hurdles for the Telangana bill.
According to sources, the high command also invited PCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana to the war room meeting.
However, the seven Seemandhra MPs, who raised a banner of revolt, have no invitation.
Kiran who is leaving for Delhi on Tuesday morning, is likely to attend Group of Ministers’ meeting in the afternoon.
He, however, might skip the “War Room meeting” of the AICC leaders to finalize the issue of bifurcation of the State, that would amount to height of defiance.
The Chief Minister got an appointment with President Pranab Mukherjee on February 5 at 12.30 noon and he would appeal for keeping the State united.
He is also planning to move the Supreme Court against the State bifurcation which will lead to Centre-State dispute.
