Kiran Sent Feelers To CBN?

The political circles are abuzz with speculation that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has sent feelers to the Telugu Desam party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to join the efforts to stall the bifurcation of the state.

Despite Naidu and his party being the main political rivals of the ruling Congress, Kiran, who is bent upon preventing the division of the state, was believed to have sent out a message to the TDP chief to shed his ambivalent attitude and come out openly in favour of keeping AP united.

"It is not proper on your part to remain a mute spectator when the state is sought to split into two pieces. You pretty well know the disastrous consequences of the state's bifurcation. In these circumstances, it is not proper on your part to continue your ambivalent attitude," Kiran appeared to have said in his message to Naidu.

Both the leaders hail from Chittoor district in Rayalaseema region.

Kiran has defied his own party's decision to divide the state and has been making open statements about his resolve to stop the division at any cost.

He is even prepared to sacrifice his post for the cause of integrated state.

According to his close confidants, Kiran will make every effort to ensure the defeat of the draft Telangana bill whenever it comes up before the Assembly and send across a strong message to the party high command that a majority of the elected representatives in the state are opposed to division.

It is very curious that Kiran is even prepared to do business with Chandrababu Naidu to achieve his goal.
