Kiran rules out assembly meet now

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday told the Seemandhra leaders that convening Assembly session at present was not possible.

The Chief Minister made this clear when the YSR Congress legislators called on the former in the Secretariat and submitted a memorandum demanding that the Assembly be convened immediately and pass a resolution in favour of Samaikyandhra.

When the CM said Assembly cannot be called, the YSRCP legislators, holding Samaikyandhra placards squatted in front of the CM’s chamber and registered their protest against his attitude.

However, the police intervened and herded all the protestors into a police van and whisked them away to the Saifabad police station. They were released later.

YSRCP legislators Shobha Nagi Reddy, Srikanth Reddy, Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy, Sucharita, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Golla Babu Rao, Amarnath Reddy, Gottipati, Katasani Rami Reddy, Dharmana Krishna Das and others were among those who met the Chief Minister and put forth their demands.
