Kiran not invited for Sadhbavana rally

It has become a practice for Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao to hold a Sadbhavana rally at Charminar every year on the eve of Rajiv Gandhi birthday and invite all top leaders of the party including the PCC president and the Chief Minister.

However, this time, both PCC chief Botsa Satyanaryana and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy were missing at the Rajiv Sadbhavana Diwas anniversary celebrations at Charminar.

Obviously, VH did not invite them. Instead, he invited Union Science and Technology Minister S Jaipal Reddy, who presented him with Rajiv Sadbhavana Award and of course, former PCC president D Srinivas.

Hanumantha Rao came down heavily on the Chief Minister for playing dirty politics in instigating the Seemandhra people against the formation of Telangana State.

“If the CM does not respect the decision of the Congress high command, his days are numbered,” he quipped.

DS said there was no going back on the formation of Telangana State and observed that the people of Telangana have no differences with the Seemandhra people.

As a matter of fact, if a separate Telangana State was formed in 1972 itself, the present crisis would not have arisen at all, he said.
