Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy met Governor ESL Narasimhan on Thursday evening, amidst speculations that his days are numbered in the hot seat.
According to sources, Kiran had discussed issues related to State and his tour to Delhi to participate in the state Congress Coordination Committee meeting. The meeting acquired significance in the wake of the ongoing state bifurcation process and meeting on Thursday of Group of Ministers appointed by the Union government to look into the State division.
Kiran Kumar Reddy would leave for Delhi on Friday and would stay there for two days. He would meet the Centre’s Group of Ministers to express his views on the division of the state.
The chief minister who is championing the cause of Samaikyandhra may make lost ditch efforts to stop the division process that is in the final stages. He may convey the strong opposition of the Seemandhra people against the division to the GoM.
As the draft bill on Telangana is getting ready and it may be referred to the state Assembly in the last week of this month for its views, Kiran Kumar Reddy may take the Delhi tour as a last opportunity to achieve his target, sources said.
