Kiran Is Yet To Bowl His Last Ball?

Though Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday claimed that he had used his master weapon to stall the Telangana bill, his staunch supporter and Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal said the Chief Minister was yet to bowl his last ball on the Telangana issue.

Lagadapati told media that the Chief Minister would participate in the dharna at Shakti Sthal, the memorial of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the national capital, on February 4.

Later, the Chief Minister, along with other Seemandhra leaders, would submit a memorandum to President Pranab Mukherjee seeking his intervention to stop the State's bifurcation.

Lagadapati said that the venue of dharna has been chose to highlight the fact that Indira Gandhi was against the division of Andhra Pradesh.

He expressed confidence that the Seemandhra leaders including union ministers, MPs, State ministers and legislators would participate in the dharna.

He also appealed to the TDP and YSRCP to join the protest. He said that the dharna was aimed at expressing opposition to the bifurcation of State.

The Congress MP also claimed that the President would obtain legal opinion before giving his nod to the Telangana Bill.
