Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader K T Rama Rao on Monday condemned the remarks made by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy that Naxalites’ problem would increase manifold after bifurcation of the state.
Talking to reporters here, he slammed the Chief Minister for trying to create fears among the people of both the regions by stating that disputes related to irrigation water sharing would crop up.
River water sharing was being made possible despite India and Pakistan fought wars, he said adding that two states can share the waters after the division.
He said that the Chief Minister had to take the responsibility of the repercussions if the Centre yields to his letter for keeping the state undivided and goes back on implementing Congress Working Committee decision.
Kiran Reddy was talking against Telangana without proper knowledge, he said and added they were prepared for a public debate on the report submitted by the Chief Minister to the GoM.
