The fight for succession in the KCR family has reached its heights. It is a known fact that there are three power centres below KCR.
While one is headed by his son KTR, his daughter Kavita leads the other. His nephew Harish Rao is the third centre.
All of them are individually trying to substantiate their positions to make the most of their following once a separate Telangana becomes a reality.
Many are now openly talking about this development and say it’s the reason behind KCR looking for a merger with the Congress.
This is also the reason why KCR is said to have hinted at wanting the CM’s post to merge with the Congress.
However, his nephew Harish Rao is opposed to the idea of merger and has been vocal about it on various occasions.
He fears that KCR and Kavita would be considered natural heirs and the kind of opportunities they are likely to get will not fall into his kitty.
Also, Harish Rao is apprehensive as getting his way would be next to impossible in a national party like the Congress, say sources close to him.
