Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to add woes to the opposition TDP in Andhra Pradesh.
KCR had already crushed the TDP in Telangana by taking its MLAs into the party. The TDP’s presence now in Telangana is negligible.
The TDP only present in Andhra Pradesh, though it claims itself as a national party. The party in AP is reduced to just 23 Assembly and 3 Parliament seats.
The BJP is also haunting the TDP by taking some of its key leaders and is poised to take more leaders as the state heads for another round of general elections in 2024 general elections.
Chief Minister and YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is going all out to wash out the party in the next elections.
Jagan Mohan Reddy is riding on the party’s victory in the local body elections in 2021.
As if all these are not enough, KCR is entering the state, targeting the TDP leaders.
KCR had worked in the TDP for two decades and has wide contacts in Andhra Pradesh.
He is said to be knocking at the doors of the TDP leaders in the state, after he renamed his TRS into Bharat Rastra Samithi on Vijayadasami day.
With the YSR Congress and the BJP targeting the party from two sides, the TDP is now worried about the possible damage that KCR would cause to the party before the next round of elections.
It is to be seen how Chandrababu Naidu would face these challenges as he is also determined to wrest power.
