Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is a staunch believer in yagams and poojas.
The way he performed Ayutha Chandi Yagam in December last year has attracted world-wide attention and a large number of VIPs attended the yagam and blessed KCR with health and prosperity.
But there is a limit to everything. KCR successfully diverted the attention of the people from the burning issues by performing Chandi Yagam last time. Though everybody knew it, they did not make it a big issue because it was a sacred mission and also people wanted to give him some time to perform. But he cannot do it again and again to cover up his government’s failures.
According to the latest information, KCR is planning to perform Sudarshana Homam in a big way in August or September.
Sources say KCR is upset with the slow progress of Mission Bhagiratha works – provision of piped water supply to every household through a water grid within two years.
He even declared that the people need not vote for the TRS, if he does not complete the water grid project. Going by the progress of works, it is unlikely that KCR would meet the deadline, as it involves a lot of technical issues.
Instead of resolving these issues, KCR is of the view that some bad elements in the nature are hindering the project. So, to ward off these evil forces, KCR wants to perform Sudershana Homam.
This will help divert the people’s attention from his failures for some more time, but how long can he fool the people like this?
