Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday assured to release Rs 10 crore towards Journalists Welfare Fund.
The Chief Minister took the decision during a review meeting held at the State Secretariat here on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana, I&PR Commissioner Chandravardhan, Advisor to Government KV Ramanachary and other officials.
Besides releasing the funds, the Chief Minister has also assured to resolve the issues like housing, health cards and accreditation cards for the journalists. However, these steps are likely to be taken only the end of Medak Lok Sabha by-election process.
