It has been nearly a week since Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders from Nizamabad led by local MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha made a representation to her father and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao asking for disciplinary action against veteran leader and TRS Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas.
Their allegations was that DS was creating groups in the Nizamabad party so as to benefit his younger son D Arvind, who has since joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. At the same time, they also suspected that he was in touch with the Congress bosses in Delhi.
Everybody thought the days of DS are numbered in the TRS, as KCR might sack him any moment.
He did not even give appointment to DS to meet him and explain his version. So, he kept the fate of the veteran leader hanging in balance.
Surprisingly, KCR has so far not taken any action against DS, but has kept a close watch on him. He is gathering information as to whom he has been meeting during this period.
Several Congress leaders got in touch with DS. Even AICC secretary and in-charge of Telangana affairs R C Khuntia also went to his residence to meet DS and ask him to return to the Congress fold.
But DS is waiting for a word or action from KCR. A shrewd politician that he is, KCR has surprisingly remained silent without taking any action.
He knows if he sacks DS, the latter would assume the posture of a martyr and would get a political mileage. So, he will force DS to quit on his own!
