Ever since Chandrababu announced that he would personally invite his Telangana counterpart KCR for Amaravathi foundation laying event on October 22, TRS insiders disclosed that KCR is under tremendous pressure from his own partymen, especially from party leaders in GHMC limits to visit AP and attend the programme without fail.
The reason GHMC elections are round the corner and KCR’s visit to Amaravathi at this stage would augur well for TRS among the Seemandhra voters in Hyderabad, who form a major chunk and capable of deciding the fortunes of any party in GHMC area.
They remind that KCR’s repeated statements on ensuring the safety and security for Seemandhra people in Hyderabad by saying “If you got a thorn in your leg, I will pluck it with my teeth” failed to convince the Seemandhra voters and if KCR ignores Amaravathi function, it would only raise apprehensions among Seemandhra voters further.
They advised him that his visit to Amaravathi would instill confidence among Seemandhra voters on TRS and KCR and it would be beneficial during GHMC polls.
It remains to be seen how KCR reacts on this argument.
