Responding to Chandrababu’s challenge of competing with him in the development of the State, KCR has now realized that he needs good relations with Narendra Modi at the Center.
KCR is now meeting Modi on either the 6th or the 7th and is all set to request the latter for a comprehensive financial package for Telangana.
Apparently, wiser counsel seems to have prevailed on KCR to behave in a more rational manner and seek the support of those better placed than him instead of behaving like an emperor and continue to deride everyone even after becoming the CM of Telangana.
Given the current finances of the State of Telangana, KCR realizes that his poll promise of loan waiver to the farmers is nothing short of suicide to the new state, yet he is placed in a situation where he cannot go back on it.
In this context, he is all set to bargain with Modi for a special status for Telangana. In other words, KCR is banking on central funds to fulfill his election promises which practically speaking are impossible to realize.
Modi, on the other hand is not at all pleased with KCR making fun of him and then aligning himself with the MIM. Will he humor KCR ?
