![KCR To Have His Own 'Mann Ki Baath'?](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
If Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has his way, he would soon launch his own version of “Mann ki baath,” a programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which helped him reach out to common people on issues concerning them.
According to Telangana Rashtra Samithi sources, KCR has asked the officials to work out a programme through which he would directly address the people.
While Modi has chosen to speak to the people through radio, the Telangana chief minister wants to interact with people through television.
Sources said it might not be possible for KCR to address a series of public meetings every time to explain his government programmes. So the best way is to reach out to the people through electronic media.
Apart from his family media house T-News, the Telangana government would buy time slots in all the other television channels as well once a month and address the people.
Unlike the Mann ki Baath, KCR would receive questions from the people and answer them. If there are any grievances, they would be solved instantaneously. A studio is being planned for this in the Pragati Bhavan itself.
As a matter of fact, this is not a new concept. In the past, Chandrababu Naidu used to have interaction with the people through a programme “Mukhyamantri To Mukhamukhi” and “Dial your CM” programme.
And late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, too, had a similar programme called, “Mr CM” programme on TV9.
