KCR to follow Naidu in cabinet expansion?

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to have decided to follow his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu in going in for a cabinet expansion to satisfy the disgruntled elements in his party.

According to sources in the TRS, there is a possibility of a cabinet reshuffle by KCR, including additions and deletions, after the completion of the ongoing budget session of the assembly on March 27. However, the cabinet expansion and reshuffle might not be as big as Naidu is planning in Andhra Pradesh.

In fact, the cabinet reshuffle in Telangana is long overdue but for strange reasons, KCR has been postponing only with a view to avoid any kind of disgruntlement in the party.

Now that the things have fallen in line and there are no big issues that stare at the state, KCR is planning to go in for a reshuffle of the cabinet.

Already, he has started filling up the vacant corporations and now with the cabinet expansion, he will be able to satisfy all the sections, so that the party will be ready for the next elections whenever they are held.

Apart from sacking a couple of non-performing ministers, KCR might induct at least a woman MLA in the cabinet. There is possibility of induction of two or three new faces in the ministry, At the same time, he is also contemplating entrusting key responsibility of the party affairs to a couple of seniors so that they can lead the party in next elections.
