He also reiterated his decision to defy the orders of the tribunal; however wiser counsel seems to have prevailed.
The Telangana government has stopped ‘power generation’ at the ‘left wing’ of the dam.
While Telangana is authorized to use 2 TMC of water, it has used 5.6TMC. So, the excess would be deducted from the quota of Telangana in its overall water resource allocation.
On the other hand, in order to make good on the existing deficit, KCR has decided to increase ‘power production’ in ‘Nagarjunasagar project’.
