Has the Telangana government stopped demolition of illegal constructions in Gurukul Trust lands, Ayyappa Society and Gokul Flats? Already, the demolitions by the officials of Greater Municipal Corporation created quite a flutter among the people residing in these areas.
Many had criticized the government for indulging in revenge-seeking activities as the TDP won the constituency during the recent polls.
The main opposition party in Telangana, TDP was especially critical of the T government’s move.
Meanwhile, the government had clarified that it would take up demolitions wherever there are illegal structures saying that the focus was not only on the above mentioned areas.
However, there is widespread outcry that the T government has been targeting Seemandhra settlers in the garb of curtailing illegal constructions.
Given this scenario, AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu has complained to the Centre regarding the biased attitude of the T government.
It is now being reported that some T leaders met up with KCR and suggested that he should refrain from such moves as it lead to further complications in the long run.
It is being reported that they requested KCR to adopt a more accommodating attitude, to which KCR is said to have given his nod. No matter what the story behind the scenes is, the demolitions have been put on hold for now.
