KCR Shows Double Standards On Alliances!

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s aggressive attack on the Congress-Telugu Desam Party alliance has fetched him more trolling than support in the social media.

KCR’s criticism on the Congress-TDP alliance using foul language was countered by several people as it was the same KCR who had forged alliance with the TDP and the Communist parties in 2009 with the intention of defeating the Congress party led by Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

Video clippings being circulated in the social media show that KCR was praising TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, his vision and his administrative skills, while abusing YSR in a similar fashion calling him Rakshasudu, Durmargudu, Telangana Drohi etc.

In fact, the TRS had extensively propagated the TDP manifesto those days during the election meetings.

The alliance, however, could not defeat Rajasekhar Reddy and as a matter of fact, the Congress bagged majority of seats in Telangana. And the TDP got more seats than the TRS in Telangana region.

Now, the TRS is trying to put up a weak defence, saying it had to ally with the TDP with the sole objective of achieving Telangana.

Soon after the polling in 2009, KCR went to Punjab to attend the Bharatiya Janata Party rally and extended his support to the NDA. That was his political opportunism, say the netizens.

Before 2014 elections, the TRS was dead against the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, which was strongly opposing the bifurcation of the state. But now, the same MIM is an ally of TRS.

“When the TRS can ally with MIM, why can't Congress go along with TDP?" a netizen asked.
