The Telangana Rashtra Samithi government appears to be itching for a confrontation with the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh yet again.
Within a day of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reconstituting the Governing Board of National Academy of Construction in Hyderabad with himself as the chairman, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, too, constituted a separate Governing Body for the same academy.
According to an official order, the Telangana Chief Minister will be the chairman of 26-member NAC Governing Body while Road & Buildings Minister will be the Vice-Chairman.
The NAC Director-General will be the Member Secretary. The other members include heads of premier institutions, industrial bodies and top bureaucrats of both State and Central Governments. The Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University will also be a member of Governing Body.
Now, the question is which governing body is official, as there is only one NAC. This is set to open doors for yet another confrontation.
A few months ago, too, the Telangana government appointed its own IAS officer as the Director General of NAC and the police had prevented another senior IAS officer B Sam Bob, who was appointed by the AP government from entering the NAC premises.
