
It looks like Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao has more or less dropped the idea of merging his party with the Congress.
It was evident from his statement on Friday, in which he said the TRS had major role to play in reconstruction of the Telangana State.
Speaking after admitting the TDP MLAs K S Ratnam and Mahendar Reddy and MLC Narendar Reddy into the party fold at Telangana Bhavan here, KCR reminded that the people of Telangana have a lot of expectations about their future in the light of formation of Telangana State.
The youth, particularly educated had belief that injustice meted out to them in employment opportunities will end now. He assured that the word ‘unemployment’ would not be heard anywhere in the Telangana State. A comprehensive plan would be launched to root out unemployment problem in the region, he added.
The TRS chief said, “We should not relent mere with formation of the Telangana State. We should show the same spirit in development and reconstruction of the Telangana State. Effective and stable leadership is required to achieve allround development. All the political leaders should unitedly work round-the-clock for reconstruction of the Telangana State”.
