
With just a few weeks left for the Centre to pass the Telangana bill, Telangana Rashtra Samithi K Chandrasekhara Rao on Sunday began his “Mission Telangana” to mobilise support from all national level leaders in Delhi for passage of the bill in Parliament.
On the first day, KCR succeeded in getting support from Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Chief Minister of Bihar and Lok Jana Sakthi leader Ram Vilas Paswan.
Both Lalu and Paswan gave their nod for support in Parliament session.
Speaking to reporters, KCR expressed gratitude to Lalu Yadav for extending support for the Telangana statehood.
“The people of the region are waging a protracted struggle and statehood will serve the purpose”, Lalu said. He also said, “The people of the region will be happy on getting statehood. We support Telangana as we are for smaller States:, Lalu maintained.
Paswan also expressed similar opinion in favor of Telangana, sources said.
