It was a rare scene that provided a lot of “masala” for photographers and electronic media cameramen; and of course, reporters, at the Begumpet airport on Saturday.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had exchange of pleasantries with his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhara Rao.
Both of them bumped into each other when they came to welcome President Pranab Mukherjee who was on a brief visit to the city. Naidu and KCR were all laughs when they greeted each other and they shook hands for quite some, posing for photographs.
KCR introduced his Cabinet colleagues to Naidu and the latter patted on KCR’s shoulder with a broad smile as a mark of appreciation. They, along with Governor E S L Narasimhan, shared jokes. Later, both the CMs took seats on either side of Governor.
This is for the first time that Naidu and KCR met after being elected Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively.
Recently, Naidu invited KCR for a discussion on the fee reimbursement issue, but there was no response from the latter.
