KCR loves Mount Everest like anything. Else, how could one explain his magnanimity in dishing out doles on an unprecedented level to the tribal duo who have recently scaled Mount Everest?
It is public knowledge that M Purna, a 13 year old tribal girl from Nizamabad district, and S Anand Kumar, a 17 year-old Dalit boy from Khammam, had exhibited exemplary courage and perseverance in scaling the world’s highest peak recently.
This is definitely a laudatory feat. But just look at what KCR is giving them:
Cash reward of Rs 25 lakh each to Purna and Anand
5 acres land each to the families of Purna and Anand
Free bore wells and pump sets in the land allotted
Expenditure for inputs for the first year of cultivation
Money to both families for constructing three additional rooms
Many martyrs have given up their lives for the cause of Telangana. Surely, their plight deserves greater consideration than any other thing.
Going overboard with such populist measures will only vindicate once again that KCR is excellent in the opposition but a poor administrator just like Kejriwal.
