Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu always claims that he had visited Delhi 30 times and made several representations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and others on issues concerning AP, but laments that there was not much response from the centre.
However, his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhara Rao always comes home from Delhi, saying he has got excellent response from the Centre.
On Tuesday, KCR met Modi and sought liberal central assistance to the state to mitigate drought. And the response from Modi was quite encouraging.
Not only that, Modi also responded favourably to the request of KCR to expedite the process of SC categorisation at least in the case of Telangana.
And the Prime Minister gave a positive nod to KCR’s explanation that there was no violation of any award in the construction of irrigation projects on Krishna and Godavari rivers.
KCR told him that Telangana would not use even a drop of extra water from the rivers while constructing the projects. And Modi was convinced!
