By choosing to hoist national flag from atop Golconda fort, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has displayed his monarchic attitude.
While the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders consider the decision as a symbol of Telangana self-respect, his critics view it as a reflection of typical feudal and dictatorial mentality.
According to Telangana Youth Congress president and MLA Vamshi Chandra Reddy, by deciding to hoist national flag on Golconda fort, KCR had only indicated that he was aspiring to become dictator of Telangana.
He said KCR's decision to hold Independence Day celebrations at historic Golconda Fort had nothing to do with the heritage of Telangana. Instead, he alleged that KCR wants to get a feel of being the king of Telangana.
KCR has been pursuing his ambition to become a dictator ever since he took over as the Chief Minister, he said.
