KCR Doesn't Want To Get Naidu's Headache!

KCR Doesn't Want To Get Naidu's Headache!

When Telugu Desam Party and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu took up the cabinet expansion recently, there was a talk that his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao, too, would follow the suit, since cabinet expansion in Telangana has been pending for quite some time.

In fact, KCR himself hinted several times that he would take up cabinet expansion to accommodate at least one woman ministers besides loyalists like Koppula Eshwar and a couple of minority leaders.

There were also speculations that some non-performing ministers would be axed from the cabinet to accommodate new faces.

However, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi president drew curtains on all these speculations at the press conference on Wednesday when he categorically said there was no need for any cabinet expansion.

“Why should I do it and get the same headache Chandrababu Naidu has got after taking up the cabinet reshuffle?” he asked.

Obviously, KCR has dropped the idea of doing cabinet expansion after seeing the eruption of dissidence in the TDP in Andhra Pradesh following Naidu’s cabinet reshuffle.

Even now, the TDP president has been facing a lot of dissidence in the party and he, himself, has admitted openly that the cabinet expansion has done more damage than good for the TDP. So, why should KCR face the same situation in the TRS?
