There is a huge difference between being a politician and an administrator. While KCR scores full marks as a politician, his one year of rule in the CM Chair reveals his inexperience and to a certain extent, his immaturity as an administrator.
In trying to decimate the TDP in Telangana, he bit off more than he could chew without any foresight as to the consequences.
He did conduct the sting operation against Revanth Reddy with proof to proceed against Naidu himself.
Initial success was his as Revanth, his bitterest critic was placed behind bars and Naidu’s image took a complete beating. But this is where, Naidu proved his acumen and where his years of political experience came to his rescue and helped turn a setback into an opportunity.
By foisting reverse cases against KCR in the phone-tapping matter, he gathered clinching evidence that the TRS government was tapping their phones for a long time now.
Armed with this information, he submitted a report to the Union Government saying that the TRS cannot be entrusted with ‘law and order’ in Hyderabad as they were resorting to such illegal and grave activities.
Further, foul language used by KCR against Seemandhra people was submitted as proof of bias and hatred towards them. Naidu successfully converted the ‘cash-for-vote’ scam into a dispute between the people of Telangana and AP.
The result of all this that there is a serious possibility of the Governor being given a greater role in the issue of law and order in Hyderabad. That could even turn out to be a precursor towards making Hyderabad, a Union Territory. If that happens, KCR’s fight for Telangana would have been in vain.
