Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday virtually pulled up his Cabinet colleague, Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy for making unsavoury comments against Congress MLA G Chinna Reddy.
During a debate on a question in the Assembly in the morning, Jagdish Reddy lashed out at Chinna Reddy saying people of his constituency had elected him to the Assembly and the Chief Minister had given him Minister’s post.
“I did not become minister like Chinna Reddy who had got the post by licking the shoes of Seemandhra Chief Ministers,” he said.
This led to a ruckus in the Assembly and the Congress MLAs rushed to the podium demanding that KCR dismiss the minister for making allegedly derogatory comments against senior MLA Chinna Reddy.
Later, Expressing regrets over Jagadish Reddy’s comment, KCR said it was not proper on the part of the Minister to speak like that and added that people outside the House showering praises on the way the Telangana House is running.
He said whatever Chinna Reddy spoke on the backwardness of the Mahabubnagar was absolutely true. He said there was nothing wrong in the question of Chinna Reddy and said all the issues raised by the members would be addressed to by the government.
What is more, KCR also thanked Opposition leader K Jana Reddy for his suggestions in the House.
