KCR can't take Jagan for granted!

If TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao feels that he can take AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for granted, especially after Jagan handed over all the AP buildings in Hyderabad to Telangana government, in a matter of hours without asking for any compensation, better think twice.

Jagan is preparing the ground to seek 'fair share' for AP in all the assets owned by common institutions listed under Schedule IX and X of AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

These institutions located in Hyderabad own huge land parcels and buildings worth thousands of crores of rupees.

Jagan handed over AP buildings in Hyderabad to Telangana because they are lying vacant for three years and also as a 'goodwill gesture'.

Moreover, the property tax, water charges, power charges on these buildings are mounting with each passing year. These arrears already reached nearly Rs 15 crore.

KCR has waived off Rs 15 crore arrears in return for handing over buildings.

Jagan saved Rs 15 crore to AP government besides establishing 'cordial relations' with neighbouring Telangana State.

But this doesn't mean that Jagan will leave everything to TS as simply as that.

Jagan issued directions to officials dealing with bifurcation issues to prepare a report on how much assets the common institutions own in Hyderabad and how much share AP is entitled for in these assets.

Jagan wants to pursue the case with Centre to secure legitimate share for AP in all these assets. If not, move the Supreme Court for justice.

If Jagan succeeds in this task, the AP, which is facing severe financial crisis, will be richer by few thousands of crores with assets in Hyderabad.

Telangana government has to pay the money to AP to get back these assets.

Else, AP government can lease out these assets to TS and earn money every year.
